Our mission is to bring drawing, painting and design to the youth of LA's urban areas, inline with the vision of Nelbert Chouinard and the original Chouinard School of Art. These basic skills empower youth to express themselves while preparing them for any educational or career path in art, with the ultimate result of uplifting the culture through the visual arts.

As people active in the Art community, you know how the lack of funding has affected art education for our youth in the public schools. Something effective can now be done!

Our program is designed to be extremely high-caliber and VERY affordable for a student at $40 per semester. The combination of this, our Artist Studio visits and Museum/Gallery visits provides an unparalleled art program for teens.

But, support from the community is needed. The generosity of the City of LA Dept. of Rec and Parks provides us with space, assistance, transportation and materials, but much more is needed in order to keep our program affordable and expanding.

The Chouinard Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit and accepts donations of any amount as a tax deductible donation.

You can help the Chouinard Foundation in the following ways:

• $50 sponsors a student for one class
• $250 sponsors a student for one semester
• $500 sponsors a student for two semesters
• $1,000 sponsors a student for one year
• $12,000 sponsors a teacher for one year

DONATE BY SHOPPING

You can now use your Ralphs card so that every time you shop, a percentage of what you spend will be donated to the Chouinard School of Art! You must register your rewards card online to participate. Below are the instructions to register and sign up.

- Go online to www.ralphs.com.
- Click on Sign In/Register
- Click on ‘sign up today’
- Follow instructions to sign up for a Ralphs account
- Once you are signed into your account do the following:

1. Click on ‘My Account’ on the top right
2. Click on ‘Edit Community Contribution Program Information’
3. Confirm your card number and click on ‘Save Changes’
4. Review your personal information and/or make any corrections and click on ‘Save Changes’
5. Type in Chouinard and click ‘Search’
6. In the ‘Select Your Organization Section’, click on the bubble next to Chouinard Foundation
7. Click on ‘Save Changes’
8. Review all information shown on your account
9. You will now see all of the changes you made and your account is updated
10. Click on ‘Logout’ at the top of the page
